Played at the Western Railway, Cross Maidan, it was a match between two talented teams namely Esplanade Liberals CC and MB Union CC where in Esplanade Liberals won the toss and elected to bat first considering the rains are over and the pitch may have something for the batsman.

However, Esplanade Liberals were all out for just 114 in 32.4 overs where in hardly any batsman managed to make much of an impact. From the bowling side, all the bowlers did well chipping with wickets or two. In form Rakesh Naik was the pick of the bowlers as he took 3/12 in 9overs with 5 maidens. In reply, MB Union CC batted really strong as they had to declare their innings after scoring 300/5 in 53.3 overs. Right handed opener Tushar Tiwari scored a magnificent 113 off just 119balls. Tushar hardly took any time and kept the score board ticking as he smashed 15fours and 2 sixes at a healthy strike rate of almost 95. Tushar also shared a match winning partnership of 156 with all-rounder Rakesh Naik who scored a timely 90 off 106 deliveries. Right handed Rakesh who smashed 9fours and 2sixes fell just 2runs short of what could have been his 2nd ton in Kanga this season.

Eventually, MB Union CC won the match on 1st innings lead and it was largely responsible because of these two players. Also with this perfomance Rakesh takes his tally of runs to 257 coupled with 11wkts making him one of the most utility all-rounders of this year’s Kanga. Cricketgraph congratulates both the players and the winning team while wishes luck to both the teams for their upcoming matches.
