Quickie Virat Mishra’s Fifer takes KES to a comfortable win in Mumbai Inter College Tournament

It was a crucial encounter between KES Shroff & Thakur college of the Mumbai University Inter college tournament. Winning the toss, Thakur College who are known to have a strong batting line up and big names in their arsenal decided to chase the score.

KES were off to a tricky start with the top order chipping in but not able to convert their start into big scores. KES made 141 which was not a huge score to defend. Opener Rahul Vora looked good and gave a decent start with his 32. The rest of the batsman also got starts but they kept on losing wickets. Chasing 142, It should have been a cakewalk for a strong batting line up like Thakur College but they were unaware of the trouble they were going to face.

20 year old pace express called Virat Mishra completely destroyed the famed batting line up of Thakur College with his pace bowling. Virat Mishra from KES came up with amazing bowling figures of 5/23 in 9.3 overs. The right arm inswing fast bowler completely kept the opposition clueless. At the age of 20 Virat is already crossing 130kmph with the ball & his pace along with line & discipline helped his side win the match comfortably by 31 runs as Thakur college were all out for 110.

Virat who opens the bowling and uses the new ball effectively bowled his heart out for his 5 wicket-haul. Mishra was rightly adjudged man of the match for his heroics and looking at his current form & the pace at which he bowls, he will be a bowler to look out for in the coming matches of the tournament.
