Veteran Pravin Tambe Helps OLD MONKS Overcome A Resilient Dream XI In The 3rd Match Of The JFSC Super Cup

The JFSC Super Cup organized an intense match on November 3, 2022. The rivals Old Monks and Dream XI were pitted against each other. This cricket series is the first edition of the JFSC Super Cup. The match was organized at the Somaiya Cricket Ground. Both teams exhibited sportsmanship and strategic play on the field.

Old Monks won by 71 runs achieving 167/9 against their opponents.

The match unfolded when Dream XI won the toss and elected to bowl. Batsman Amar Padhye opened the innings. He scored 24 runs off 30 balls and hit 3 boundaries. Sandeep Dahad displayed an exceptional feat. The skilled batsman hit a half-century scoring 51 runs off 41 balls with 4 boundaries and 2 sixes to his name. Priyank Tandon and all-rounder Pravin Tambe exhibited a great on-field performance with the bat.

Bowlers from Old Monks with their strength and ability captivated the spectators. Pravin Tambe picked up 4 wickets in 4 overs and delivered 1 maiden over. The bowler set the economy at 3.25. At the close of 1st innings, Old Monks scored 167/9.

Batsman Akshay Phaterpekar from Dream XI initiated the second innings. He scored 20 runs off 26 balls and hit 3 boundaries. Chetan Chafekar delivered a powerful performance as he struck 8 boundaries with his score soaring at 40 runs off 36 balls.

Jay Raval from Dream XI mercilessly picked up 5 wickets in 4 overs as he set the economy of the match at 7. With their fall of wickets, the Dream Team scored 96/9.

Old Monks claimed their victory over Dream XI by 71 runs. Pravin Tambe was declared the Player of the Match for his remarkable feat. The Old Monks earned 2 points whereas their rivals received 0 points. This enthusiastic gameplay ended with a good spirit between cricketers.
