Pacer Raju Khan’s 4wkts helps Sultan Sports win over Ibadat Education in the DCL T20 League 2017
Into the 4th match of the DCL T20 league, it was between 2 promising opponents namely the Sultan Sports Club & Ibadat Education at Delhi. Sultan Sports who won the toss elected to bat first to make a good total on the board.
Batting first, Sultan Sports made 137/8 in 20 overs which was fairly a decent score if not a big total considering the rainy season and the odd pitch conditions. Arpit was the highest scorer with a solid 37 while the rest of the batsman chipped in with 10’s and 20’s but could not convert their score into something substantial. The bowling was good with Sourav taking 3wickets while the rest of the bowlers chipping in with a wicket each.
Chasing 138 in a T20 game is most of the times achievable but Ibadat Education felt the pressure of chasing against a good bowling attack as they were all out for just 85/10 in 19.2overs. The chief destroyer with the ball was this right arm fast bowler Raju Khan who ran through the opposition’s batting line with his steaming pace taking 4/12 in his 4 overs.
