Opener Swapnil Pradhan hits a gutsy ton vs Sind SC in the Kanga League 2017
Held at the M.I.G CC ground on 24th september in Mumbai, it was a match between two promising teams of A Division namely Sind SC and MIG CC where in Sind SC won the toss and elected to field first in order to restrict the opposition to a low total.
Batting first, the powerful M.I.G CC batted really well and they had to declare at the loss of just 2wkts after putting 242 runs on the board in 62 overs. Right –handed opener Swapnil Pradhan who is known for his calm temperament and solid batting scored a magnificent ton smashing 101 off 156balls at a strike rate of 65. One more interesting part of his innings was he smashed only 5fours and a six to build the innings as he did a lot of hardwork & running between the wickets. Akash Parkar at no.3 also scored an equally attractive and a solid knock of 77* off 149balls to steer MIG’s innings to a decent total.
In reply, Sind SC scored 43/4 in 28overs before the end of the game’s play. The match was declared drawn but it was opener Swapnil & Akash’s solid batting which took everyone’s notice. Cricketgraph congratulates both the boys and wishes luck to both the teams luck for their upcoming matches.
