MIG wins the intense semi-finals while Akash gives an all-round contribution in the Worli Cup 2017

Played at the MIG cricket club, it was a match between two strong teams namely MIG club and Diamond Star CC where in MIG Cricket Club won the toss and elected to bat first in order to make a big total and put the opposition under pressure.

Batting first, the top 3 batsman failed to give a good start but it was their middle order which slightly resurrected the innings. Akash Singh and Arjun Dani chipped in with 23 & 22 respectively while Shavraj Durve scored a valiant 38 off 84balls at no.7. Right arm fast bowler Rehan Khan has been consistent with the ball taking 4/29 in 19.2 overs which included 10maidens.

However, MIG gave a fitting reply with the ball as they restricted Diamond Star to just 113/10 in 56.1 overs. Harshvardhan Pandey and Nisar Shaikh were the highest scorers with 26runs respectively. Aryan Dalal gave a tough time to the batsman as he came up with excellent bowling figures of 3/24 in 18.1 overs. Off-spinner Akash Singh was also equally impressive as he took 3/37 in 20 overs (7maidens). Diamond Star CC fell short of just 19runs and MIG won the all important semi-finals where in Akash Singh was declared ‘man of the match’.
