Kaustubh Pawar KP seals the game in style as Tata Capital win against TCS in the Tata Inter Company Cricket Tournament
It was an interesting encounter between TCS & Tata Capital at the National C.C, Cross Maidan in Mumbai. Tata Capital won the toss & elected to field first as the wicket was good to bowl on. Also the big fish of Tata Capital Kaustubh Pawar made the right noises just before the IPL on what he is capable of as he scored a thunderous 65* off just 27 balls.
TCS failed to get a good start with their top order struggling to make runs. Pinkesh Tandel at no.4 was the only player who managed to score in 2 digits for TCS as he made a quick 24 off just 16 balls. However the tight bowling by the opposition did not allow them to score freely and they managed to make only 95/8 in 20 overs. Slow left arm bowler Vishal Dabholkar & Parikshit Valsangkar were the pick of the bowlers taking 3/13 & 2/20 respectively. The rest of the bowlers also did a good job around them to restrict TCS to a low score.
Chasing 96, right-handed opener Kaustub Pawar did not show any mercy to the opposition & finished the chase with Sachin Yadav in mere 4.5 overs. Yes you heard it right! in just 5 overs. Kaustubh smashed a blazing 65* off just 27 balls which included as many as 7 fours & 6 big sixes. Kaustubh was in no mood to take the game till the end as he played at a strike rate of above 225+ while Sachin Yadav from the other side was also equally destructive scoring an unbeaten 27* off just 10 balls.
Tata Capital won the match in a great fashion by 10wkts and 15.1 overs to spare. Kaustubh Pawar was declared ‘man of the match’ for his match winning half century. Cricketgraph congratulates KP & the whole team for their commendable win & wishes them to continue playing the good brand of cricket for a long long time.
