Kanga League 2017: Pacer Siddarth Raut scalps 6wkts to rattle DY Patil Academy
There is no better sight than a genuine pace bowler troubling the batsman with his speed, line and length and one such example of good pace bowling was this youngster- right arm fast bowler Siddarth Raut who bowled with consistent line and length to trouble the strong batting line up of DY Patil.
Played at the Sachivalay Gymkhana at Oval Maidan on 24th September, DY Patil won the toss and elected to field first. Their decision to field first was spot on as they restricted Dadar Union to just 108 runs in 41.5 overs. Talented all-rounder Yashwasvi top scored with a gritty 30 as the rest of the batsman crumbled. Left arm spinner Iqbal was the pick of the bowlers taking 4/44 in 15 overs.
Even though DY Patil did a great job with the ball but Dadar Union gave a terrific comeback and covered up their batting fiasco with some great bowling. DY Patil were restricted to 101/all-out in 41.1 overs and pace bowler Siddarth Raut won the hearts of many as he bowled a match winning and a fiery spell of 6/42 in 19.1 overs (2maidens). It was a match where both the teams gave a tough fight but it was fast bowler Siddarth in the end whose bowling remained the highlight perfomance of the match. Cricketgraph congratulates Siddarth while wishes both the teams luck for their upcoming matches.
