Boys Cricket Academy vs Union Cricket Club
After opting to bat first, Boys CC openers displayed fireworks on the ground from their willow stitching a 114 run stand from the first 10 overs. Srujan Athawale played a strokeful innings of 107 in mere 60 balls (15 fours, 3 sixes) bringing in the 1st ton of TPL season 9. His opening partner, Harsh Tank with his 37 ball 67 (7 fours, 4 sixes) looked equally dangerous. It was on the back of a wonderful start, Boys CC reached a big total of 208/9 in 20 overs.
Chasing a 200+ score is always difficult and Boys CC took the advantage of that added pressure on the chasing team as they restricted Union CC to just 151/8 in 20 overs. Shreyas Gaurav came up with one of the impressive spells so far taking 3/17 with a maiden in his spell of 4 overs.
Boys CC won the match by 57 runs while Srujan Athawale was declard “Man of the Match”
