Jolly Friends Sports Club Announces A Packed Schedule For 2022-23 On Their Annual Opening Annual Night

The Jolly Friends Sports Club (JFSC) had their annual opening night where they announced their 3 exclusive cricket tournaments along with the jersey reveals of all the 62 teams participating across all competitions. The glamorous tournaments will be played on the top quality ground of the Jolly Friends Sports Club in Vidyavihar, Mumbai. 

The annual opening night was held at the MiG club and the panel of chief guests was star studded. Ex- Mumbai Ranji Trophy batsman Amit Dani, Mr Jagdish Shetty, Father Rajesh from Fatima and Mr Shivanandan Konar were also honored with a memento. Shivanandan Konar, The Founder of JFSC, is highly appreciable for his efforts to manage and put together fine tournaments and overlook the operations regarding the same. Konar is one of the if not the primary reason for the success of the JFSC establishment. With a reputable indoor facility for practice along with the high-quality ground and turf wickets, the Jolly Friends Sports Club has come a long way. 

The night started off by calling and felicitating the chief guests for the night on stage. The chief guests were asked to share their cricketing thoughts and on the splendid work JFSC has been upto since it was founded. Post the brief speeches, Shiva Konnar called upon the JFSC staff up on the stage as a gratuitous gesture. 

After the ceremony formalities, came the introduction of the 3 tournaments which would be taking place. 

The JFSC Dads Premier League is in its 3rd season now. The DPL has 24 teams who will compete in 66 games. 

The next tournament introduced was The Super Cup. The 2022-23 season will be the inaugural year for TSC where in all 16 games will be played amongst 8 teams. 

The final tournament and arguably the biggest tournament of JFSC, The Super League. In its second season, the TSL will have 30 teams in 3 different divisions, Division A, B & C, where the same system of relegation and promotion of Kanga League is implemented here. With the total number of 144 games across the three divisions, this makes it one of the biggest private tournaments in all of India. 

As the tournaments were announced, the team representatives were called upon the stage for their jersey and the trophy reveal of the respective tournament. The players had a chance to catch a glimpse of what they were competing for. The jersey’s were presented by the Chief Guests. After every team’s reveal, all team representatives were asked to come up on stage for a group picture before becoming challengers. 

Finally, all JFSC partners were acknowledged for their contributions and  felicitated with a trophy. They were thanked for their association with the establishment. 

With an attendance of more than 100, the successful event just highlighted the high voltage schedule of the JFSC. More than 820 games, 15 tournaments and numerous teams in the previous season, the Jolly Friends Sports Club plans on exceeding their past achievements.
