Jadhav & Davane seal the game for Shivaji Park Warriors while Swapnil hits a brutal 66 in the Mitsui Shoji T20 League’19
SPW batting first at the Police Gymkhana Ground posted a total of 169/9 in 20 overs which is surely a defendable one. Kushal Davane from Shivaji Park Warriors top scored hitting a fluent 65 off 41 ball (3 fours, 5 sixes) while late cameo by Ravindra Jadhav (38 off 19) ensured the team crossed the 160 run mark. Yogesh Jagtap (3/27) and Anirudh Mainkar (3/27) were the pick of the bowlers from Mumbai Police City Riders.
Chasing a steep target of 170 at almost 8 runs per over, Mumbai Police City Riders were 41/4 and 71/6 at one stage however a brilliant innings by Swapnil Kulaye at no.5 raised hopes for sometime.
Swapnil despite lacking support from the other end took on the bowlers hitting a blazing 66 off 27 balls which had 5 fours and 5 sixes in it. Jayesh Pawar (2/27), Ravindra Jadhav (2/24) and Mayur Shirsagar (2/28) were excellent with the ball not only taking wickets but also bowling at an economical rate.
