Ishaque Shaikh’s all-round show takes JSW to a victory in the Quarter Finals of the Masters Cup Edition 2

Ishaque Shaikh (JSW Team) 4 wkts and 45 runs in 56 balls 6 fours

It was a very important quarter final match between JSW XI and Viacom 18 at Vengsarkar Academy in Mahul. JSW won the toss and elected to bowl first as they had a good batting line-up to chase the score.

Viacom 18 were off to a good start with Aditya and Amol giving good starts but none of the batsman after them fired. It was because of that reason Viacom 18 were left to only 123/10 in 20 overs. Right arm off break bowler Ishaque Shaikh bowled an excellent spell of 4/20 in 4 overs which played a huge role in restricting them to 123. Ishaque also consistently broke partnerships which further dented their aim of making a big score.

Chasing 124, JSW steel won the match in style by 8 wickets and 3.4 overs to spare. Once again left handed Ishaque Shaikh scored 45* off 56 (6 fours) balls and stayed till the end to chase the score in style for JSW. M Shetty also gave good support scoring a 34 ball 46*(5 fours). JSW won the match and Ishaque Shaikh was adjudged ‘man of the match” for his brilliant all-round performance.

We certainly wish Ishaque & his team JSW continue their good form in the semi-finals of the tournament.
