Imtiaz Khan & Sandeep Yadav shine in Young Muslim Sports Club’s 112-run Win

Young Muslim Sports Club and Friends Sports Club locked horns against each other during the Seth Gordhandas Shield. The match was played on January 15 at Sainath, Virar. Young Muslim Sports Club won the toss and elected to bat.

Batting first, Young Muslim Sports Club posted a fighting total of 166/6 in 20 overs. Imtiaz Khan top-scored with a 48-ball 55, hitting six boundaries and three sixes. Opening batter Vinit Mestry (46) earlier in the innings provided an excellent start to Young Muslim Sports Club when they were losing wickets from the other end. On the other hand, Friends Sports Club’s Rohan Kanwar was the pick of the bowlers with 36/2 in four overs.

In reply, Friends Sports Club were bowled out for a paltry 54 in 13.5 overs, and they lost the match by 112 runs. Raj Mallik (15) was the only batter from Friends Sports Club to score in double digits. On the other hand, Young Muslim Sports Club’s Sandeep Yadav wreaked havoc with the ball, claiming 22/4 in four overs. Prathamesh Golatkar (11/3) and Sandeep Naik (15/2) were the other wicket-takers for Young Muslim Sports Club.
