Hiken Shah’s 151 In Vain As Chinmay Sutar Powers CCI To Victory
A high scoring game between Bombay Gymkhana and CCI saw both teams score a combined total of almost 800 runs in the Police Shield. Bombay Gymkhana elected to bat first and scored a massive total of 382 in 70 overs losing 6 wickets. Hiken Shah was the major contributor as he scored an impressive 151 at the top of the order. Bhupen Lalwani continued his good form scoring 75. Parag Khanapurkar gave a finishing touch by scoring an unbeaten 58.
With a huge total on board, Bombay Gymkhana had the upper hand by the end of the first innings. India U-23 batter, Chinmay Sutar led the charge scoring a quick fire 108. Aakash Anand (73) and Arya Satpute were one of the major contributors in the CCI innings but it was all rounder Akash Parkar’s unbeaten 87, sealing the game for CCI with just 9 balls left. With bold batsmanship, CCI sealed the game with 3 wickets in hand.
