Here are some players who stood out from the E Division of Kanga League‘18
Kanga matches have kickstarted with some blazing performances and E Division also had some players really standing out from the rest. Let’s take a look at a few promising performances.
In the match between Sunrise CC and Vijay CC at Sachivalay Gymkhana, Sunrise CC batting first were all out for 93runs with Deepak Singh taking 4wkts. Vijay CC in return struggled equally with 8wkts down on 38runs as Umesh Naik bowled a fantastic spell of 5/21 in 6overs. Vijay CC escaped a narrow defeat as the match ended in a draw.
In the match between Young Stars Marine Drive and Regent CC at Cross Maidan, Young Stars declared their innings on 180/9dec on the back of Siddhesh More’s 54 off 61balls at no.7. Regent CC batted for 44overs with 8wkts down before the end of the game’s play resulting into a draw.
In another match which was held at Cross Maidan, Sunder CC & Marwari CC took on each other with Sunder CC batting strongly declaring at 163/4 in 56.1overs. Right handed Akash Tambe who opened the innings top scored for E Division till now smashing a brilliant 94 off 178balls(8fours). Marwari CC were 57/6 before the game ended in a draw.
In the match at New Era CC, Azad Maidan, MV Sports Club and Matunga Gymkhana clashed with each other with MV Sports club getting bundled out for 78runs all out. Matunga Gymkhana in return received a terrific fight back as they restricted them to just 62runs on the back of Haqiqar Siddique’s brilliant spell of 7/32 in 13.1overs. Medium pacer Haqiqar was spot on with line and length which fetched good results. MV Sports Club batted for another 16overs before the match ended. MV Sports club won the match on 1st innings.
In the match which was held at Western Railways, Cross Maidan, Dahisar SC batting first scored 176runs with Mahesh Sonawane top scoring with a solid looking 82ball 50 at no.3. Aman Sharma at no.4 also gave good support with his breezy 46 off 51balls. Esplanade Liberals CC in reply were 8wkts down for 93runs in 39overs before the match ended in a draw.
