FCC ties in thrilling and qualifies for Semi’s along with CCD, Datamatics, Reliance Insurance in Friendship T20 Trophy

Match between host FCC and SHM. In a Do or Die match, SHM decided to field considering morning dew at lush green outfield and it worked as per their plan restricting FCC to 117. SHM made a good start keeping the required run rate but they lost top 3 batsman within 5 overs at 30 runs. This gave a confidence to FCC and they continuously put pressure on SHM taking wickets. After 15 overs, SHM were in Need of 38 runs in 5 overs with 4 wkts. in hand. Neither FCC nor SHM given up the match at any point. In final over, it was obligatory for SHM to take 8 runs to win the game and they had 2 wkts. in Hand. FCC bowled a very tight over conceding only 7 runs in final over. Both teams fought really very hard which resulted in a thrilling tie in last over. Young gun Vishal Gupta (FCC) bowled brilliantly giving only 17 runs in 4 overs taking 3 wkts. Due to this tie, CCD & FCC qualified into Semi’s.
