Fast Bowler Gautam Dhobi takes 6/21 vs Young Men CC Vasai in the ongoing Kanga League ‘17
Played at the Sainath Sports Club in Mumbai, it was a match between two promising teams of Kanga namely Young Men CC Vasai and Vijay CC where in Vijay CC won the toss and elected to bat first considering that the pitch conditions would be better than the earlier weeks since the rains are over.
Batting first, Vijay CC were all out for just 123/10 in 35.4 overs where in Devendra & Aditya were the only ones who managed to score in 20’s. The bowlers did a fabulous job and especially Raja Gode and Sagar Sule who took 4/27 and 3/39 respectively. Both the bowlers have proved their mettle with the ball over the time as they are consistently doing their job well.
However, in reply, Vijay CC bowlers gave a stern fight to the Young Men CC Vasai batters as they bundled out the whole team for just 83runs in 31.4 overs. It was bowlers dominating all the way and especially their right arm medium pacer Gautam Dhobi who scalped a match winning spell of 6/21 in 13 overs. Gautam not only bowled in the right areas but also extracted decent pace and bounce which helped him grab wickets at regular intervals. Vijay CC were 10/2 in their 2nd innings facing 5 overs before the end of the game’s play where they won the match on 1st innings lead. It was a good match for them but it was Gautam’s bowling which turned out to be the most impressive of the lot.
