DY Patil Skipper Mann Bhanushali bags 9 wkts while Hetanshu (49), Vansh (54) & Jay (48) impress with the bat in U14 CPCC Tournament’19
Amar CC after being made to bat first at the Cross Maidan Ground were struggling at one stage with 7 wkts down for 84 runs but it was their savior Hetanshu Kamdar at no.9 who scored a brilliant knock of 49 runs in mere 31 balls (8 fours). It was on the back of his innings Amar CC reached a total of 152/10 in 51 .4 overs. From the bowlers, it was DY Patil’s skipper Mann Bhanushali leading from the front bagging 5/58 in 24.4 overs including 3 maidens. Mann almost bowled half of the team’s overs as he handled the bowling department with good responsibility. Fast bowler Ayush Wadekar with 2/14 also gave a few early breakthroughs.
DY Patil however could not emulate the same performance with the bat as Amar CC bowlers collectively restricted them to 88 runs all out. Amar CC batted another 72 overs in the 2nd innings where they declared their innings at 191/9 avoiding the tag of getting all out.
Vansh Gandhi (54) and Jay Vyas (48) at the middle order were the 2nd innings top scorers for Amar CC. Skipper Mann was once again the pick of the lot taking 4/49 in 33 overs including 12 maidens with his wily spin. Spinner Vedant Gore with 3/49 was also quite supportive with the ball.
DY Patil batted for 5 overs in the 2nd innings for the loss of 3 wkts before the match ended with Amar CC winning the match on 1st innings lead. The match witnessed some impressive performances where in it was impressive to see Mann bowling as many as 57.4 overs in the match with the same flow while Hetanshu, Vansh and Jay were promising with the bat.
