DTU XI beat JP Institute to enter final of Monsoon Trophy 2015; Vaibhav Guhania shines again
DTU skipper Ankit Kumar finally found some form in the ongoing season as he guided his team to victory against JP Institute in the Monsoon Trophy Cricket Tournament. He and his team mate Vaibhav Guhania ensured an easy chase for their team as it reached the final and is now just a step away from winning the trophy. Vaibhav was adjudged man of the match for his superb all-round show, second time in a row.
Batting first, JP Institute was restricted to just 112 runs in their allotted 20 overs. Skipper Ankit Gulati top scored with 29 and Harshit Batra contributed 26 runs to the team total. For DTU, Harsh Gill scalped 3 whereas Vaibhav Guhania captured 2 wickets.
In reply, Ankit Kumar (39) and Vaibhav Guhania (44) steered the chase as DTU overhauled the required target in the 16th over itself with 6 wickets to spare. Vidit and Mrigansh captured a wicket each for JP Institute.
