Finally the new rankings are out & it was possible only because this initiative (which started from March) received a great response from the cricket lovers & the whole cricketing fraternity. We rigorously go through the entire data sheet every month, shortlist the players, than out of the shortlisted players the selection panel selects the top 5 taking all the factors into consideration like the opposition, the intensity of the game, the condition of the pitch, the tournament & much more. Joint at no.5
Jay Jain(LHB)- 104 off 58b(U-16) 30overs game
Jay Jain(LHB)- 104 off 58b(U-16) 30overs game
This little dynamo is making the right noises as he has scored a lot of runs in the Lashkaria Little Champs Tournament and one of those performances was this brutal hundred which he scored in just 58 balls against Payyade representing team M.I.G. Playing at MIG Ground itself, Jay smashed 12fours & 5sixes on what was one of the fastest hundreds of the tournament.
-
At the Sydenham College ground against Mumbai Warriors, right-handed Arun yadav notched up a 76ball 109 representing All Stars XI which helped them win the match. What’s more special about the knock was that the ground was wet & favorable for the bowlers & in such tough condition Arun came up with a century.
- Akhil Herwadkar(LHB)- 101* off 54b, 68th Salar Jung T20 Tournament
Akhil Herwadkar(LHB)- 101* off 54b, 68th Salar Jung T20 Tournament
It was the all important match between two strong teams namely Payyade Sports Club & Apollo cricket club. Chasing a target of 160 is always tough in a T20 game but Akhil had different plans in mind as he single-handedly finished the game with his unbeaten 101* off mere 54balls (12fours,5sixes) in the 68th Salar Jung Tournament.
- Amit Rathod(RHB)- 74* off just 19balls, T20 Masters CUP
Imagine had he faced a few more deliveries Amit could have scored the fastest hundred ever. Playing at a strike rate of almost 300, it was a knock which took our breath away. This was the same match of the Masters cup where Akash Patl & Prakash Patil also played terrific cricket. Rika Global eventually won that match over Johnson & Johnson which was played at Elf Vengsarkar Academy, Oval.
- Suryansh Shedge (RHB)- 135 off 73 (U-16) Lashkaria Champs Tournament
The Karnataka Cricket Association ground witnessed yet another carnage from this talented batsman when he scored this big hundred representing Sanjeevani Cricket Academy vs Olympia Sports Academy of the Lashkaria Little Champs tournament. Surya as he is fondly called smashed 17fours & 2sixes to tear the bowlers apart at a strike of almost 190.
- Rutvik Sangdore(LHB)- 130 off 61 (U-16) U-16 Champions Trophy
It was the U-16 Champions Trophy where he represented Meridian School vs Santosh Sports Academy where Rutvik completely changed the game scoring a ruthless 130 off just 61balls. A target of even 234 in 30 overs looked so easy because of Rutvik’s batting where he went on to smash 20fours & 4big sixes to help his team win the match.
And finally the no.1-
Karan Shah(LHB)- (113 off 41b) Insurance Shield T20 Tournament
17yr old Karan who was playing with as well as facing players bigger than him in the Insurance Shield Tournament brought up his hundred in mere 37balls while he scored 113 off just 41balls which included as many as 12big sixes & 6fours to help his team Abhyudaya Bank win over Canara Bank in the crucial quarter-finals.
