From hundreds of performances every month in Mumbai in various tournaments, only the best are filtered out for the top 5 and it should be definitely something to rejoice for the players who made it into the top 5rankings every month as a through and unbiased filtering and selection process goes out while calculating the different rankings. Also Cricketgraph rankings are now getting really popular in the local cricket so we work harder to give out the best results!

The top 5 all-round performances for the month of October are-

Joint 5th– Omkar Karandikar- 6wkts and 28, CPCC Tournament ’17 (Left-arm spinner)

Played at the Venus, Malad, it was a match between two young and promising teams namely Kurla SC and Apollo CC where in Apollo CC won the toss and elected to bowl first in order to restrict the opposition to a low total. Made to bat first, Kurla SC scored a healthy total of 248/all out in 83.2 overs. Omkar had contributed with the bat scoring 28 and while defending his team’s total, Omkar came up with excellent bowling figures of 6/41 in 19.2overs which restricted Apollo cc to just 122runs. Kurla SC won the match on 1st innings and Omkar definitely played a pivotal role in that win.

5. Aman Manihar- 8wkts and 25, Kalpesh Koli Tournament ’17 (Left-arm spinner)

Played at the Dadar Parsee Colony Ground in Mumbai, the all-important semi-finals of the Kalpesh Koli tournament between two promising teams Matunga center and Goregaon center was conducted. Goregaon Center won the toss & elected to field first. Matunga scored 209runs in the 1st innings where in Aman took 5/36 to defend his team’s total to restrict Goregaon SC to just 149runs. In the 2nd innings too he took 3wkts which eventually helped his team win the match on 1st innings lead. Also he had contributed with the bat too as he scored 25 in the first innings.

4. Musheer Khan- 5wkts and 40runs, Payyade Trophy ’17 (Left arm spinner and right hand bat)

Played at the Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana in Mumbai, two teams full of young prodigies namely Sachin Tendulkar XI and Sunil Gavaskar XI clashed against each other where in Sunil Gavaskar XI won the toss and elected to bat first in order to make a big score and put the opposition under pressure.Musheer;s team Sunil Gavaskar XI were bundled for just 128 but little did they knew that Musheer will give a fitting reply with the ball as he took 5/15 with his left arm spin and restricted Sachin’s XI to just 98runs all out. In the 2nd innings Gavaskar XI batted well as they scored 246/7 where in Musheer contributed with the bat too as he scored a quick 40. Sachin XI failed to chase the target in the 2nd innings and Musheer’s team eventually won the match by 103runs where all-rounder Musheer played a big role.

3. Sahil Dawane- 11wkts and 34*, CPCC Tournament ’17 (Left-arm Chinaman)

Held at the Payyade Sports Club in Kandivali, Sporting CC won the toss and elected to bat first to put PDTSA under pressure. However, Sporting CC were bundled out for just 123runs in 53.3 overs where in Soham Pawar top scored with 34. Sail Dawane and Adwait Palsule were the pick of the bowlers taking 3wkts each. In reply, PDTSA were bundled out for 95runs in their 1st innings.

In the 2nd innings, Little did they knew on the storm which was about to come as PDTSA restricted Sporting CC to just 90/all out in 38.1 overs. The bowler who was responsible for that damage was PDTSA’s left arm spinner Sail Dawane who went through the entire batting order of Sporting CC as he came up with stunning bowling figures of 8/17 in 10.1 overs (4maidens). Chinaman Sail bowled in the right areas and kept on troubling the batsman with his consistent spin which reaped him rewards. PDTSA chased down the score in style winning the match by 4wkts while Sahil remained unbeaten with the bat too as he scored 34*

2. Aditya Dhumal- 92 & 4wkts, Police Shield Tournament ’17 (Left arm spin and Right hand batsman)

Played at the iconic Wankhede stadium,  it was a match between two strong sides namely Sind Sports Club and Dadar Union where in Sind SC won the toss and elected to bat first with an aim of scoring a decent 1st innings total. Batting first, SSC scored a healthy total thanks to Aditya’s 92 off 97balls at no.8 which included 6fours & 3sixes and then while defending he came up with 4/30 in 16 overs with his left arm spin which restricted Dadar Union to just 185/all out. It was his all-round perfomance which played a big role in the team’s win.

 

1. Ayush jethwa- 119 and 6wkts, CPCC Tournament ’17 (Left-handed batsman and off spinner)

Played at the Sainath Sports Club in Mumbai, it was the all important semi finals between two promising teams namely CPCC and Payyade SC where in CPCC won the toss and elected to bat first with an aim of making a big total and putting the opposition under pressure. Ayush Jethwa took a stunning 6/5 in 8overs which restricted CPCC to just 81runs and then he came up with a 170ball 119 which helped his team Payyade score 309/9d which helped his team win the match on 1st innings.
