Chairman Prashant Vaidya Initiates Vidarbha pro t20 league set to launch after iPL

The Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) has officially announced the launch of the Vidarbha Pro T20 League, a brand-new franchise-based T20 cricket tournament. The tournament will bring high-energy cricket to the heart of Central India and give Vidarbha’s players a platform to shine.

Exciting T20 League Right After IPL

The first season of the league will take place right after the IPL this year. It will feature six men’s teams, owned by top business groups. These teams will play against each other in a round-robin format, followed by the semi-finals and a grand final.

Big Platform for Vidarbha’s Cricket Talent

The Vidarbha Pro T20 League is inspired by the Indian Premier League model. It aims to offer a world-class stage for both young and experienced players from Vidarbha. Fans can expect not just great cricket, but also exciting entertainment and fan engagement.

This league is a big step to grow cricket in Vidarbha and support local talent,” said Mr. Prashant Vaidya, Chairman of VCA’s Cricket Development & Administration Committee (CADC).

Strong Push for Women’s Cricket

In a major move to support women’s cricket, three out of the six franchises will also have women’s teams. This shows VCA’s commitment to promoting equality and giving more opportunities to women cricketers in the region.

Experienced Management Partner

To make sure the league is run professionally, VCA has partnered with Arivaa Sports Private Limited. They had earlier managed the successful Bengal Pro T20 League and will now take care of all operations for the Vidarbha League.

Live Telecast and Big Names in Commentary

Fans across the country will be able to enjoy the matches live on a leading sports channel and a popular OTT platform. The commentary panel will include former Indian and international cricket stars, adding more excitement to the viewing experience.

Franchise Ownership Open Soon

VCA has also announced that details about how to apply for franchise ownership will be shared soon on their official website. This is a great opportunity for business houses to become part of Vidarbha’s growing cricket culture.

Mr. Adwait Manohar, Past President of VCA, also shared his support for this bold step, saying the league will take cricket in Vidarbha to the next level.
