The Thane Premier League 2026 continued to deliver high-scoring drama and standout individual performances as Day 2 unfolded at Dadoji Kondadev Stadium.
Anish Chaudhary lights up the night with a stunning century
The third match of the tournament, played on May 2, saw a run-fest between Thane GST XI and Boys Cricket Club Dombivli.
After winning the toss, Boys Cricket Club made full use of the batting conditions and then some. They posted a massive 262/6 in 20 overs, driven by a breathtaking innings from Anish Chaudhary. His 103 off just 36 balls was pure dominance, packed with 4 fours and 12 sixes. At the other end, Srujan Athawale played the perfect supporting role, adding 61 off 34 balls with clean stroke play.
For Thane GST XI, Wasim Ashraf tried to pull things back with 3 wickets in 3 overs, while Yash Chavan chipped in with two.
Chasing a daunting target, Thane GST XI fought hard but couldn’t quite keep up with the required rate. They were eventually bowled out for 207. Sahil Phegade led the bowling effort with 3 wickets, while Shreyash Gurav and Yash Singh picked up two each to seal a 55-run win for Boys Cricket Club.

Atharva Ankolekar anchors Union CC to a composed chase
The second match of the day brought a different kind of contest more controlled, but equally competitive as Sportsman Cricket Club faced Union Cricket Club.
Sportsman CC, after opting to bat, struggled to build momentum and were bowled out for 147. The damage was done largely by Union CC’s disciplined bowling attack, with Atharva Ankolekar and Aryan Kadam taking 3 wickets each, while Divyansh Saxena added two to the tally.
In response, Union Cricket Club approached the chase with patience. Atharva Ankolekar stepped up once again, this time with the bat, scoring a steady 56* off 47 balls, including 4 fours and 2 sixes. His innings ensured there were no late hiccups as Union CC chased down the target comfortably, winning by 4 wickets.

For his all-round contribution, Atharva Ankolekar was named Man of the Match.
