All rounders are a very rare breed, especially the one’s who perform on a consistent basis. All teams have struggled to scout and groom all rounders for a significant amount of time. Given this challenge faced by any team, its quite heartening to come across a young talented boy who has been consistent with both bat and ball at junior level.
One such name creating all the right buzz in the mumbai junior cricket circuit is Ayush Jethwa, who has been scoring hundreds as well as taking wickets at will. The latest demonstration of his all-round skills were displayed as latest as 18th and 19th 2017 May in the match played between Sunil Gavaskar XI vs Sachin Tendulkar XI in the U-14 total cup. The highlight of the innings was certainly Ayush who not only scored a fluent unbeaten 145* but also took 2wkts in the game. This tournament is played only by the best of the best junior cricketers in mumbai, who could possibly progress to play for the mumbai team.
The 13yr old prodigy, Ayush who studies in SVIS Gorai under the able mentorship of Raju lad sir who has also coached Rohit Sharma has been consistent over the past few seasons and time & again he has proved that he can be a consistent all-rounder. The left-handed batsman who can effectively bowl right-arm off spin hailing from Kumbhar family wherein his father (a professor) who also plays for cricket at the club level certainly has all the right ingredients to become a budding all-rounder at the highest level.

- In the CPCC tournament Ayush scored 121 runs in 3 matches and took 10 wkts making it a complete all round performance and he was also declared the ‘man of the series’ (2016)
2.In Giles shield Ayush scored a solid 154 and took 2 wkts against I.E.S Bandra at the western railway cross maidan. (2016 December)
- In Giles shield he scored 117* against Pawar public ground at National Cross Maidan( 2016 December)
- In Under 13 tulphule cup he scored a brisk 94 and also took a hattrick. Ayush was declared ‘man of the match”, at matunga DPZ where in total he took 7wkts. (2017)
- 106* and took 5wkt against Tata steel at Boisar ground vs Mahim Juvenile at shivaji park (2017)
- Scored 50 and took 3 wkts against Mahim Juvenile at Shivaji Park along with one brilliant run out (2017)
- In the third match he scored 108 and also took 5wkts. (2017)
- Just recently on 18-19th of may 2017 he came up with a solid looking 145* & 2kts vs Sunil Gavaskar’s XI representing Sachin’s XI in the total cup.
