Automotive Cricket Club beat MET Sports Club in a thriller to win Milan Mega Corporate T20 tournament

Automotive Cricket Club locked horns against MET Sports Club on 16th April in the grand final of Milan Mega Corporate T20 tournament at Cross Maidan, Mumbai. Winning the toss and electing to bat first, Automotive posted a challenging total of 155-9 in their full quota of 20 overs. It was a fantastic batting effort by the full team as all the players chipped with small but useful contributions. Opening bat Sachin top scored with 21 runs off 19 balls, smacking three boundaries. Aniket was the pick of the bowlers for MET, grabbing 3-25 in his three overs.

It was a nail biting finish to the final as MET played extremely well to put up 149-9 in 20 overs, falling short by just 6 runs. Opening bat Harish (38 runs off 33 balls) and middle order bat Vinit (30 not out off 19 balls) were the star performers with the bat, but they failed to take their team through. Laxman, Chetan and Apurva bowled well in tandem to account for two scalps each. Laxman (20 runs off 12 balls), who had earlier played his part with the bat, was in action with the ball, helping his team to clinch the Milan Mega Corporate T20 trophy.

Laxman (20 runs off 12 balls and 2-24 in 4 overs) was awarded with the Man of the Match prize for his brilliant all-round efforts. Dipesh Golam and Rakesh Kamble were declared as the Best Batsman and Best Bowler of the tournament respectively.
