Ashutosh Mali Shines For Regent As He Claims 6 In The Presidents Cup

The ongoing President Cup’s game between Achievers SC and Regent CC was a one sided affair as Regent took the game without breaking a sweat. After electing to bat, Achievers managed a total of only 113 as they were bowled out in the final over of the innings. With no batsmen crossing the 30-run mark, there were no substantial contributions from the batting unit. There was one bowler who stood out, Ashutosh Mali. Mali picked up 6 wickets in his spirited spell of 3.2 overs, conceding only 20 runs. Krushang Rathod claimed 4 wickets as a complete bowling performance restricted the run flow.

After a successful outing with the ball, Regent’s batsmen played with intent to seal the game as early as possibly. Despite two quick wickets, Shreyas Pathak steadied the ship as he contributed 53 and stayed unbeaten as he played 46 balls. Alongside him, 6-wicket taker Mali hammered a 10-ball 21 with 4 boundaries to see his team to a 7-wicket win in the C & D Division President Cup.
