Arush Pundle’s Fifer in vain; PAB Cricket Club pip Little Star CA Powai by 31 runs

PAB Cricket Club defeated Little Star CA Powai in a low-scoring contest by 31 runs on January 6 during the MD Memorial Cup.

Put into bat first, PAB Cricket Club were bowled out for 98 in 19.3 overs. Riyan Terve was the lone warrior in the fight for PAB Cricket Club. Terve mustered 45 off 56, including four boundaries. On the other hand, Little Star CA Powai’s Arush Pundle wreaked havoc with the ball and scalped 13/5 in four overs. Pundle hit the right straps consistently and yielded rich dividends.

Chasing a modest total of 99, Little Star CA Powai failed to cross the line. They were bundled out for 67 in 15.1 overs and lost the game by 31 runs. Priyanshu Rajbhar fought hard for his 23 off 17 but could not find able-allies. On the other hand, PAB Cricket Club’s bowlers bowled well in tandem to defend the score. Ajay Pal, Amar Kadam, Harsh Patil, Vijay Pal, Sarthak Ambre, and Shardul Joshi claimed one wicket each.
