Anuj continues to spin a web while Mohanty’s 89 steers Singhania School into the finals of MCA U14 Ghantali Trophy’19

Singhania School after opting to bat first at the Kalyan Wagle Nagar Ground notched up a decent total of 224/6 in 40 overs. Opener Ritvik mohanty was the highest scorer smashing a solid 89 off 101 balls. Ritvik smashed 8 fours and 2 sixes as he took on the bowlers confidently. Aryan Dalal coming at no.3 chipped in with 32 runs. From Vasant Vihar High School, Ayush Parab with 4/56 was the pick of the bowlers.

Defending a total of 225, Vasant Vihar High School were bundled out for 123 runs in 35.2 overs. Off-spinner Anuj Iyer who is the highest wicket taker in the tournament so far continues to trouble the batsman this time coming up with a spell of 4/28 in 7.2 overs being the pick of the bowlers for his team. Anuj picked up wickets on regular intervals not allowing any pairs to stitch a match threatening partnership. Raj Jain also bowled well taking 2 wkts in his 2 overs.

Singhania School won the match by 101 runs and qualify for the all important finals.
