Amogh Bhatkal’s 118 alongwith Sagar’s all-round performance leads Parkophene Cricketers to a win in the Police Shield’19

As a skipper, Prasad Pawar no matter which format has been a believer of batting first rather than chasing, even in Kanga he was one of the very few skippers to opt to bat first.  Parkophene batting first at Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana posted a total of 343/9 in 70 overs. Despite the openers falling out early, it was their young no.3 entrant Amogh Bhatkal impressing one and all with a brilliant 118 off 146 balls which had 16 fours and a six. Prasad Pawar (45) and Sagar Mishra (64) at the middle order played crucial knocks and were quite supportive to the youngster Amogh. Senior player Pardeep Sahu further chipped in with quick 35* lending that perfect finish to their innings. Pardeep who has been practicing a lot in the nets to improve his batting certainly looks a different & a improved batsman too adding an edge alongwith his stellar bowling abilities.

Sagar since many seasons has been continuously raising his stakes as a must have all-rounder in any format of the game & he is certainly ringing the right bells for his selection in the higher levels of cricket teams & tournaments.
