All-Rounder Siddharth Mhatre guides SRS Group to a 6-wkt win in Thane Premier League
SRS Group’s Siddharth Mhatre had a fabulous day at the office as he scored a valiant half-century and picked a 4-fer to power his team to a convincing 6-wicket win over Maharashtra Cricket Academy on Friday in the Thane Premier League.
Asking Maharashtra Cricket Academy to bat first at the Dadoji Konddev Stadium, SRS Group reduced them to 114/9 in 20 overs. Batting at number eight, Manoj Yadav top-scored with an undefeated 32 from 28 balls. Yadav smashed a four and a six in his useful knock. On the other hand, it was all Siddharth Mhatre show with the ball for SRS Group. The left arm spinner broke the back of Maharashtra Cricket Academy’s batting with figures of 4/9 in four overs.
Chasing a modest 115 for victory, SRS Group completed the formalities in 16.4 overs. They won the match by six wickets and 20 balls to spare. Mhatre led the run chase from the front with an unconquered 54 from 45 balls, caressing the boundary rope five times. For Maharashtra Cricket Academy, it was Musheer Khan (3/13), who rattled the top order of SRS Group in a jiffy. However, the runs in the bank were too less to defend.
Riding on a power-packed performance from Siddharth Mhatre, SRS Group sealed the deal against Maharashtra Cricket Academy in the Thane Premier League.
