Played at the iconic and well maintained MIG Cricket Club, two really young and promising teams took on each other namely Worli XI and Shivaji Park XI where in Shivaji Park skipper Arjun Dani won the toss and elected to bowl first on a track which had support for both the batsman as well as the bowlers.
U/16 Worli team hardly looked deterred after being made to bat first as they notched up a very healthy total of 306/10 in 78.4overs. Opener Tanmay gave a good start with 37 while talented right handed prodigy Parth Pathak top scored the innings with a timely 76 off 110balls(9fours) while he also received support from all-round Ayush Zimare who scored 39. Omkar Khot who came at no.7 also played a fine knock of 40runs off 86balls while Prince Badiyani and Kaushal Rege chipped in with 30’s to help their team cross a total of 300+
U/16 Shivaji Park in return were skittled out for 125runs in 63.3 overs skipper Arjun Dani being the lone warrior scoring a fighting 60 off 156balls. Ayush Zimare who has been in terrific form with the ball this season continued to impress coming up with envious bowling figures of 5/18 in 19.3overs with as many as 13maidens in it. Ayush at one point was unplayable while the rest of the bowlers also did a good job. Receiving a follow on, Shivaji Park were again 7down for 62dd runs before the match ended.
