Ajit Yadav Shines in Thane Warriors’ 7-Wicket Win in Thane Premier League

Thane Warriors Cricket Academy registered a clinical seven-wicket win over Sportsmen Cricket Club on Saturday at the Dadoji Konddev Stadium in the Thane Premier League.

Winning the toss and electing to bat first, Sportsmen Cricket Club showcased an ordinary performance as they were skittled out for 129 in 19.5 overs. Gaurav Suryavanshi (34; 35b, 4×1) and Aquib Shaikh (30; 13b, 4×1, 3×6) were the standout players with the bat. However, their other colleagues could not chip with as many runs as Thane Warriors Cricket Academy’s bowling was too hot to handle. Zaid Patankar was the pick of the bowlers with 3/22 in 3.5 overs. His opening bowling partner Yogesh Patil was among the wickets as well as he claimed 2/18 in three overs.

In reply, Thane Warriors Cricket Academy made light work of the run chase as they overhauled the target in just 11.2 overs with seven wickets in hand. Ajit Yadav led the run chase from the front with a quickfire 42 from only 18 balls. The southpaw’s blitzkrieg innings was bolstered with five sixes. For Sportsmen Cricket Club, it was again Suryavanshi with the ball who dazzled with a couple of wickets to his credit.
