Agribid CC, Munde Sports register wins in Mumbai Championship T20 League

On January 9, two Mumbai Championship T20 League matches were played. While Munde Sports pipped Aruprit Tigers by six wickets in one of the games, Agribid CC got the better of JV Sports Club Thane by 26 runs in the other.

Batting first, Aruprit Tigers posted 132/6 in 20 overs, thanks to Tushar Chate (21) and Nirankar Sharma (22 not out). For Munde Sports, Akash Parkar was the pick of the bowlers with 13/3 in four overs, including one maiden. In reply, Munde Sports overhauled the target in 19.3 overs and won the match by six wickets. Parkar led the run chase from the front with an undefeated 36 off 33, including three boundaries. For Aruprit Tigers, Piyush Kanojiya was the most successful bowler with 17/2 in four overs.

Agribid CC v JV Sports Club Thane  

Chasing a daunting total of 170, JV Sports Club Thane were restricted to 143/7 in 20 overs. Batting first, Agribid CC piled up 169/9 in 20 overs riding on Pratik Gharat’s 39 and captain Akhtar Shaikh’s 30. For JV Sports Club Thane, Shashwat Pathak wreaked havoc with the ball, claiming 30/4 in three overs. In response, JV Sports Club Thane fought hard but failed to cross the line. They fell shy of 26 runs. Pathak, with his valiant 65 off 39, was at the helm of the run chase. On the other hand, Alum Shaikh starred with the ball for Agribid CC with 33/2 in four overs.
