Ace Spinners Sahil Purohit (5/11) and Amol Torvi steer ESWA to a commanding win in the SRS Cup ‘18
ESWA and SKN Cricket club took on each other at PDSA, Boisar where SKN team won the toss and elected to bat first with an aim of putting a commanding total.
However their decision to bat first backfired as the first match witnessed a clinical performance from team ESWA to take a one up lead in the 7 match series. Spin wizards Saahil Bharat Purohit and Amol Torvi spun a web around team SKN and bundled them for a meagre 61runs in 19.2 overs. Both the bowlers were spot on not allowing the batsman to settle. Saahil who still studies in 10th std gave batsman senior to him a run for the money coming up with envious bowling figures of 5/11 in 5.2 overs while Amol also bagged 4 wkts for 23 runs. ESWA team chased the score in 9.5 overs but not before loosing 3 top order batsmen. However, they won the match by 7 wkts in a commanding manner and certainly look a strong side to lookout for in this tournament.
