Abhishek Pandey’s 5-fer helps Mahindra Logistics demolish IPCA by 9 wickets
In a lopsided affair, Mahindra Logistics handed a crushing nine-wicket defeat to IPCA Sports Club during the Times Shield ‘D’ division match on January 14. Winning the toss and electing to bat first, IPCA were bowled out for a paltry 52 in 21.5 overs. Amey Mayekar top-scored with 14 off 21, including a couple of hits to the fence. For Mahindra Logistics, Abhishek Pandey wreaked havoc with the ball, picking up 8/5 in 7.5 overs, including three maidens. Parth Rai bowled well in tandem with Pandey and claimed 23/4 in seven overs.
In reply, Mahindra Logistics made light work of the run chase as they completed the formalities in 11.1 overs. They won the match by nine wickets. Sarvesh Shiralkar led the run chase from the front with a 38-ball 23, hitting two boundaries. Kushal Dawane (18 not out) and Ihsaan Amin (10 not out) guided their team to a comfortable win. For IPCA, Sushant Bagul was the lone wicket-taker with 10/1 in one over.
