Om Keshkamat powers MIG to a 7-wicket win in Young Comrade Shield

Riding on Om Keshkamat’s delightful century, MIG Cricket Club pipped Parel Sporting Club by seven wickets during their Young Comrade Shield clash on January 14 and 15. Winning the toss and electing to bat first, Parel Sporting Club posted a challenging total of 334/7 in 70 overs. Aman Jain top-scored with 83 and Usaid Cutlerywala (69) and Naman Jhawar (69 not out) chipped in with useful contributions. On the other hand, MIG Cricket Club’s Shivam Dube was the pick of the bowlers with 29/3.

In reply, MIG Cricket Club overhauled the target in 52 overs. Besides Keshkamat’s power-packed innings of 104 not out, Pragnesh Kanpillewar (78) and Gaurav Jathar (72 not out) made their presence felt in the run chase. The trio steered MIG to a comfortable win. On the other hand, Parel Sporting Club’s bowlers had an off day at the office.
