A win for Parkophene Cricketers on the back of tons by Prasad Pawar (138) and Sagar Mishra (116) in the Young Comrade Shield’20
Parkophene Cricketers opting to bat first on Islam Gymkhana’s homeground dominated with the bat amassing 414 runs for the loss of 8 wkts in 69 overs. First it was opener Amogh Bhatkal (56runs) steadying the shop with Prasad Pawar and then it was a big middle order partnership by Prasad and Sagar Mishra wherein they stitched 202 runs for 4th wicket which duly changed the course of the game. Prasad was solid as usual anchoring Parkophene innings en-route his brilliant 138 off 111 balls (20 fours) while left-handed Sagar played his natural game of aggressive cricket smashing 116 off 111 balls. Sagar in his previous outing had scored a gritty 92 vs Fort Vijay as he continues to be a consistent all-rounder for his team.
Islam Gymkhana apart from their in-form Hashir Dafedar (73 runs) appeared a little patchy in their run chase getting all out for 207 runs in 49 overs. Sagar Mishra was the pick of the lot with the ball too coming up with 4/82 in 19 overs while another Prathamesh Belchada who first scored a super handy knock of 52* off 30 balls down the order for Parkophene chipped in with 3 wkts too in his spell of 7 overs as Parkophene Cricketers won the match by 207 runs.
