A Memorable 469 run stand! Swapnil (252*) and Vikrant (215) stamp their authority in Times Shield ‘18
Both these names, Swapnil Pradhan and Vikrant Auti have been performing consistently in Mumbai cricket. While Swapnil has been amongst the runs for MIG, Auti smashed his 3rd back to back ton in this year’s Times Shield. What’s more this was also his 2nd double hundred in a span of just 3 matches.
Mumbai Customs after electing to bat first at Worli Sports Club posted a massive total of 519/4 in 114 overs. Swapnil opening the innings went on to score a career best 253 off 356 (26 fours) balls while also engaged in a record breaking 469 run stand with the in-form Vikrant Auti who scored a fluent 215 (298 balls, 22 fours). With 275 runs of running between the wickets, it was a hard working partnership between these two giving us a déjà vu of the days of Dravid & Laxman or Sachin & Kambli.
G.R Mumbai Police A in reply were all out for 205 runs leaving behind a massive trail of 314 runs. Mumbai Customs were again in a strong position at 111/0 with Sachin Wagh (55*) and Parag Khanapurkar (56*) and look poised for a big win.
