A massive 343 run stand between Shreyash Hirlekar (180) and Pranav Sawant (150*) in the U14 CPCC Tournament’19
Prabodhan Goregaon after being made to bat first at Venus Ground were bundled out for just 39 runs thanks to some really impressive bowling by Kabir Bedia (4/3) and Kartik Patankar (3/8) who kept on providing breakthroughs not allowing a single batsman to score in double digits.
Yogi CC in reply lost an early wicket of their opener Aryan Sankpal but what came next was a sight to behold for most of the spectators at the ground apart from the bowling team! Opener Pranav Sawant and Shreyash Hirelkar stitched a marathon partnership of 343 runs for the 2nd wicket batting almost 84 overs together. Innings and partnerships like this become not only memorable but also displays wholesome talent of the players. Opener Pranav played the anchors role scoring 150* in 272 balls (12 fours) while wicket-keeper batsman Shreyash who hails from the famous school of cricket SVIS kept the scoreboard ticking hitting 23 boundaries and a six en-route his brilliant 180 off 251 balls.
Yogi CC declared their innings at 351/3 in 89.5 overs at the end of the game’s play where they won the match on 1st innings lead.
