A great team performance gives Swami Vivekanand Kandivli great win over Gundecha
There were many stars for Swami Vivekanand school of Kandivali in their Harris shield plate group D final against the Gundecha school.
Batting first Swami Vivekanand school posted massive 483 runs in the first innings. Chief tormentors with the bat were Mihir Agarwal, Satyam Parkar, Yatendra Jangid and Ganesh Masurkar. Mihir was just brilliant, playing bowling on it merit. He hit just 9 boundaries but string the innings together. He was out on 138 off 142 balls.
Satyam Parkar too scored a great ton, 104 runs hitting 16 boundaries.
Gundecha were made to follow on after their first innings was wrapped for just 74 runs. Gundecha showed some spine in the second innings as they scored 218 runs still falling way short of Swami’s first innings total.
Vinayak Patil was the pick of the bowlers for Swami, who took 8 wickets in the match while Aryan contributed with 7 and Ganesh Masurkar took 4 wickets.
