A good team perfomance ensures a victory for Singhania School in the 1st league clash of the Singhania U-14 Tournament
When a pack of wolves come together even a lion gets tamed & such was the perfomance of the Singhania boys as they collectively played well together to defeat Billabong International school at Raymond Cricket ground in Thane. Billabong school won the toss & elected to bat first with an intention of making it big in the 1st innings.
However, they were unaware of what was kept in store for them as Singhania bowlers did a great job to restrict the opposition to a mere total of 76/10 in 25.1 overs. Not a single bowler allowed the batsman to score freely & while they also kept taking wickets at the right time. Right-arm leg spinner Ayush Iyer bowled exceedingly well taking 3/9 in his 2 overs while medium pacer Aryan Dalal Left Arm Spinner was equally good & effective as he took 3/12 in his 4 overs. The bowlers kept it tight & bowled in the right areas & it reaped dividends for them.
Chasing 77 was a mere formality for the strong batting line-up of Singhania School as they won the match by 10wkts. Opener Jay Jain scored an unbeaten 43* while his partner Jay Dhatrak remained unbeaten on 23*. Both the batsman completed the chase in mere 10.2 overs to help their team win the opening match of the tournament in style.
It was a great team perfomance by Singhania boys as both the bowlers & as well as the batsman did their job well. Vice President of Sulonia Cricket Academy Manish Narvekar presented the ‘man of the match’ award to opener Jay Jain who scored a 43* for his side. Cricketgraph congratulates the whole team for their commendable win & wishes them luck for their upcoming matches of the tournament.
