Rohan Bane Saves Tata vs ICICI As Singh Scores 50
In the Times Shield Quarter Finals, Tata Power faced off against ICICI Bank. After winning the toss, Tata Power elected to bowl first. ICICI Bank managed to score 209 runs in 45 overs losing 8 wickets in the process. Opener Ansh Shah contributed 35 in an anchoring 78-ball innings as wickets were tumbling from the other end. Coming down the order, Aniket steadied the sinking ship by scoring a 59 runs in just 68 balls. Besides him, Ajinkya Patil hammered 50 off just 30 balls to push the total ahead.
The Tata bowlers made sure to keep things tight. Rohan Bane claimed 2 wickets in a crucial spell of 7 overs. Apart from him Garv, Rohit, Aryan and Uday claimed a wicket each.
The openers provided a flying start to Tata as the pair notched up a tremendous partnership. Akhand Singh scored 50 as Rohan Bane made 53 off just 34, setting the tone for their team. However, ICICI made a comeback by claiming quick wickets in middle overs. Aryan’s crucial 40 runs down the order saw Tata close in on the total and win the game with just 2 wickets in hand.
