Himanshu Singh & Omkar Ghule lead Payyade Sports Club to a win in Police Invitation Shield Cricket Tournament

New Hind Sporting Club and Payyade Sports Club locked horns against each other in match number 19 (Group B) of the Police Invitation Shield Cricket Tournament. New Hind Sporting Club won the toss and elected to bat.

Batting first, New Hind Sporting Club were bowled out for 222 in 58 overs. Pranav Kela top-scored with an unbeaten 99. Rugved More (48) and Parikshit Valsangkar (34) were the other major contributors with the bat for New Hind Sporting Club. On the other hand, for Payyade Sports Club, Himanshu Singh was the wrecker-in-chief with 51/5. Dhrumil Matkar bowled well in tandem with Singh as he scalped 6/3.

In reply, Payyade Sports Club made light work of the run chase as they completed the formalities in 60.3 overs with five wickets in hand. Omkar Ghule led the run chase from the front with an undefeated 85. Ghule found able allies in Dhrumil Matkar (41 not out) and Japeet Singh Randhawa (41) as the trio steered their side home.
