Big Hit Club India successfully organizes Society Premier League in Mumbai

Big Hit Club India, a company specializing in organizing sporting events, recently launched Society Premier League Season 1. The box cricket tournament saw the elite housing societies of Mumbai locking horns against each other on the cricket field. The two-day event was held at Sir JP Sports Arena in Malad on April 23 and 24.

23 teams from 20 different housing societies participated in this cricket extravaganza. More than 300 players featured in the tournament. There were different categories like men, women, senior citizens, and kids. Orchid Suburbia of Kandivali West won the competition in the men’s kids and senior citizens’ category. On the other hand, Oberoi Esquire of Goregaon won the women’s title.

Before this Society Premier League, Big Hit Club India had organized cricket tournaments for Chartered Accountants (CTL), other professionals, and corporates. Cricket is a sport that Juili picked up right from her childhood days. Her journey from playing with the boys in the compound walls to practising under the able aegis of Jonty Rhodes has been a spectacular one.
She was a part of Mumbai Women’s U-19 and U-23 probables during her four-year stint at the MCA. As a middle order bat and a part time medium pace bowler, she also represented Mumbai University at All-India University Women’s Cricket for two years.

In the quest of further education, she discontinued with the sport. Currently she is pursuing her Ph.D in Finance from IIT Bombay’s School of Management.
