Centuries from Rakesh & Neelaksh, Borivali CC into the semi finals of Madhav Mantri Tournament’22

Played at Islam Gymkhana in Mumbai, Borivali Cricket Club opting to bat first posted a total of 312/5 in 40 overs. Opener Neelaksh Tambe continued his excellent form with the bat smashing back to back centuries. Neelaksh scored 140 in his previous outing followed by 109 off 94 balls smashing 13 fours and 1 six vs Shree Lad Cricket Club. All-rounder Rakesh Naik who came at no.5 smashed 107 off 86 balls smashing 5 fours and 8 sixes while also stitching a 147 run partnership with Neelaksh.

Shree Lad Cricket Club in reply were all out for 136 runs courtesy a brilliant five wkt haul from Medium Pacer Badal Shaikh. Badal returned with match winning bowling figures of 5/22 in 6 overs as Borivali CC won the match by 176 runs entering the semi finals of the Madhav Mantri Tournament.
