Shubham Ranjane’s 121* steers DY Patil to a clean win in the Quarters of Purshottam Shield’18

Karnatak SA after being made to bat first at DY’s home ground batted really well posting a total of 303/10 in 70 overs with the help of Akash Parkar’s solid 92 at no.4. Medium Fast Bowler Prashant Bhoir was spot on taking 4/74 being the pick of the bowlers for DY Patil.

DY Patil though had a shaky start to the chase but Shubham Ranjane coming at no.4 ensured that the chase was taken care of. Shubham smashed a sparkling 121* (119 balls) hitting 11 fours and 5 sixes. Shubham seems to be back to what he does best as he took on the bowlers with confidence while also stitching a 156 run stand with Yogesh Takawale who scored an 84 ball 70 at no.5 as he once again came to the rescue.

DY Patil on the back of Shubham’s ton and a great partnership with Yogesh won the match with commanding ease by 5 wkts and 11.2 overs to spare.
