MCGM wins on the back of solid fifties by Sandesh Paralkar and Hrishikesh while Harkesh bags 4wkts in the Times Cricket Shield ‘18

Played at the BMC ground in Mumbai, Deutsche bank and MCGM took on each other for a crucial clash where in MCGM team won the toss and elected to field first with an aim of restricting the opposition to a low total.

Deutsche Bank batting first were all out for 169runs and MCGM’s decision to bowl first seemed to be quite accurate. Deutsche Bank were at one point not even looking good for 100runs when they were 59/6 at one point but Sudhakar Gupta (38*) and Sagar Chemburkar (49) tried to resurrect the innings back taking their team to a respectable total of 169runs in 44.4 overs. From MCGM, Harkesh Mehar was the pick of the bowler taking 4/29 in 7overs. Harkesh bowled really well in the right areas with tight line and length which reaped rewards for him as well as his team.

Chasing a total of 170runs, opener Sandesh Paralkar who opened the innings scored a solid looking 67ball 54(9fours) which set the tone for the chase while Hrishikesh Patkar who came in at no.3 finished off the chase with Arpit Rai. Hirishekesh scored an unbeaten 51* off 48balls(7fours) and looked really confident smashing some really good shots. Arpit on the other hand also gave a good support scoring 40* off just 25balls(8fours) finishing off the chase in style.

MCGM batsman did a really good job while Harkesh’s 4wkts also played a crucial role as MCGM won the match in style by 7wkts.
