306 run stand between Rohit Pol and Shrikant Limbole helps Mumbai Police win in the Young Comrade Shield Tournament’20

Mumbai Police Gymkhana after opting to bat first at the SRT Ground Kandivali posted a mammoth total of 386/3 in 69 overs. After a decent opening start by Sunil Patil (37) and Humayun (35), it was the reliable and experienced pair of Mumbai Police team which took the mantle ahead. Senior batsman of the team Rohit Pol went on to score a solid 141 off 153 balls laced with 6 fours and 8 sixes while the attacking Shrikant Limbole remained unbeaten scoring a majestic 154*off 141 balls (16 fours, 3 sixes). Both these players stitched a record 306 run partnership for the 3rd wicket which helped their team stay at top.

Young Mohmeddan CC in reply gave a really tough fight but eventually they fell short by a little margin. After a few early wickets, it was Ravi Solanki at no.4 scoring 94 runs stabilizing the innings with Kadir Patel who scored 56 at no.4.

With momentum back into their favor, it was Moin Khan at no.6 who almost played a match winning innings of 106* off 112 balls (7 fours, 3 sixes).  Both the teams performed exceptionally well but it was the Mumbai Police Gymkhana who got the better of the opposition restricting Young Mohmeddan CC to 377/9 in 70 overs. Left arm quickster Amit Pande was impressive in his spell of 4/107 while Santosh Singh also chipped in with 3 wkts conceding 110 runs.
