1st Inter-School Cricket League kicks off, Vidya Jain School wins; Vasu Tomar grabs 4/28

Inter School Cricket League

Vidya Jain School’s bowler Vasu Tomar set the first day of the 1st Inter School Cricket League on fire by picking up 4/28 and helping his team defeat Hansraj Smarak School, Dilshad Garden  rather easily by 7 wickets in the very first match of the tournament.

The tournament is being jointly organized by AV Club and Vidya Jain Academy at four different venues- Vikaspuri Ground, Modern School BK, DPS RK Puram and Jamia School Okhla. The event was flagged off by Mr. A.N Sharma, head coach, Vikaspuri Cricket Academy.

The first match was played between Vidya Jain School and Hansraj Smarak School in which Vidya Jain School easily defeated their opponents by 7 wickets.

Hansraj Smarak: 118 all out in 27.1 overs (Vikram Singh 64, Vasu Tomar 4/28, Rishabh Sharma 3/10)

Vidya Jain School: 119/3 in 17.1 overs (Dhruv Aggarwal 62, Shivam Gupta 31*, Prakash Negi 2/18)
