Wasim Ashraf’s Six-Fer guides Bombay Gymkhana to a win in Kanga Knock Out Tournament’22
On May 1, Bombay Gymkhana snatched victory from the jaws of defeat against Bhama Cricket Club during the Kanga Knock Out Tournament.
Winning the toss and electing to bat first, Bombay Gymkhana were bowled out for 111 in 36 overs. Moin Shaikh top scored with a brilliant 42 off 26 balls, including four boundaries and three sixes. Apart from Shaikh, there were no other major contributors with the bat forBombay Gymkhana. On the other hand, Bharat Solanki was the pick of the bowlers for Bhama Cricket Club as he bagged 4-14 in four overs, including three maidens.
In reply, Bhama Cricket Club fought hard as they scored 92 in 23.2 overs. Dhruv Chaudhary led the run chase with a 35-ball 31, including half a dozen boundaries. However, Bombay Gymkhana’s Wasim Ashraf had some other plans with the ball. Ashraf wreaked havoc with 6-28 in 7.2 overs as he rattled the opposition in a jiffy. Darshan Tiwari bowled well in tandem with Ashraf, picking up 3-11 in four overs.
Wasim Ashraf was the top performer in the match. Ashraf’s six wicket haul helped Bombay Gymkhana register a 19-run win over Bhama Cricket Club during Kanga Knock Out Tournament.
